1. About Battle Buddy

Battle Buddy ("the Service") is an educational AI assistant that helps United States military veterans and their families understand publicly available information about VA benefits. The Service is operated as a software-as-a-service application.

2. Not Legal, Financial, or Medical Advice

Battle Buddy does not provide legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, medical advice, or accredited claims representation. All information presented is sourced from publicly available, open-source government materials (including VA.gov, the U.S. Code, the Code of Federal Regulations, and Federal Register publications) and is interpreted and summarized by an artificial intelligence model.

The Service is not:

• A law firm, attorney, or legal services provider
• A VA-accredited claims agent or Veterans Service Organization (VSO)
• A financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary
• A licensed healthcare provider
• An official representative of, or affiliated with, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any other government agency

For any decision that affects your benefits, finances, employment, education, housing, or health, you must consult a qualified, properly-licensed professional. For VA claims and appeals, the VA recommends working with a free VA-accredited representative or VSO.

3. AI-Generated Content

Responses are generated by a large language model. AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect. Laws, regulations, payment rates, eligibility criteria, and VA procedures change frequently. You must independently verify any important information at VA.gov, by calling 1-800-827-1000, or with a qualified professional before acting on it.

4. Eligibility & Account

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and all activity under your account.

5. Subscription & Billing

Battle Buddy offers a 7-day free trial followed by a recurring subscription of $9.99 USD per month, billed automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months except where required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service to commit fraud, including VA benefits fraud; (b) submit false information to the VA or any third party based on Service output; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service; (d) use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law.

7. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BATTLE BUDDY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST BENEFITS, LOST WAGES, DENIED CLAIMS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON SERVICE OUTPUT. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Government Affiliation Disclaimer

Battle Buddy is an independent, privately-operated software product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Defense, or any branch of the United States Armed Forces. All official VA business should be conducted through VA.gov or 1-800-827-1000.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
