1. What We Collect

  • Account information: email address, authentication identifiers.
  • Chat content: the questions you ask and the AI responses generated, stored so you can return to past conversations.
  • Billing information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

2. Sensitive Information — Please Be Careful

Battle Buddy is not a HIPAA-covered service and is not authorized to receive Protected Health Information, Social Security numbers, full dates of birth, VA file numbers, or other sensitive personal identifiers. Please do not paste this information into chat. The AI does not need it to explain how benefits work.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Authenticate you and protect your account
  • Process billing for the subscription
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your chat content to train third-party AI models for unrelated commercial purposes.

4. AI Processing

Your messages are sent to a third-party large language model provider to generate responses. The provider processes the content solely to return a response and is contractually restricted from using it to train their models. We retain the conversation in our database so you can read it later.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Chat threads remain in your account until you delete them. You can delete individual threads from the sidebar at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact support.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security on the database, and authenticated access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU GDPR). Contact support to exercise these rights.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and older.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
